Pressure reducing valve DM 652
Steam pressure reducing valve for beverage bottling plants

The size and layout of buildings often provide mandatory conditions for the design of a plant. If the operator does not want to accept any loss of performance of the production plant, he has to aim at the greatest possible compactness of all modules

DM 652

TASK // Balance of dimensions and performance

Hence, the smallest possible parts and components must be included that are easily accessible at the same time for easy care and maintenance. The aim is to find a balance between size and performance.
For the fast and safe sterilization in a beverage bottling plant, clean steam at a pressure of approx. 5 bar is fed into it and reduced to 2 bar immediately upstream of the plant. To reduce downtime periods by cleaning operations to the lowest level possible, high mass flows and temperatures (min. 121 °C) are employed at low differential pressures.

SOLUTION // Pressure reducing valve DM 652

Thanks to its large seat diameter, the pressure reducing valve DM 652 of deep-drawn stainless steel achieves the necessary flow rates at a very low installation height (315 mm). The body is entirely made of high-quality stainless steel 1.4404 / 316L so that the valve can cope with any flow rate passing through it. The excellent surface finish can be reduced to less than 0.8 µm*, if so required. The pressure reducing valve can be manufactured with a wide variety of connections required by this industry. These include aseptic connections, DIN or ANSI flanges, welding ends or other customized versions.

*average body surface, but weld seams excluded
